Stopped by on Thursday for dinner at Guillermo's. First time here, and checking in was confusing. Regardless, the wait for a party of 4 was 30 minutes which we were ok with waiting. There's a walk up bar with happy hour prices that don't end until 8pm which is awesome. For the price, I was surprised at how good the drinks were. When we were seated inside, we requested to be sat outside because of the bathroom smell. The inside was not pleasant, old and unappealing. Outside seating is lovely with lights and warmers for colder days. For food, we shared the chicken Alfredo and mixed greens salad. The salad was great. The chicken Alfredo was good but not hot. Our friends ordered the calzone which they enjoyed. Portions are large. Prices reasonable. Would love to return and try something else. The kitchen is understaffed so be prepared to wait a bit.

First of all the restaurant is beautifully designed. The vintage photos of San Antonio are awesome. They take you back in time. Now let me get back to the food. I ordered the Calzone with peperoni, mushrooms and sausage. The ingredients tasted very fresh and very tasty. One of the best Calzones I've ever had. My wife ordered the shrimp scampi and she loved it. She took one bite and was hooked. The sauce is what made it the best. And to top it all off our waitress Karine was awesome. She was very attentive and made us feel at home. I highly recommend and we will definitely be back

I placed an order to go, food was ready within 20 minutes. The food overall was DELICIOUS. My only complaint is that the prices did not match online to when I came to pay, the cashier said they are working on the website to update the new menu prices. That would have been nice to know upon ordering, as it is no where on yelp, google or facebook that they've had a price change. If the food wasn't ready I honestly probably would've canceled my entire order. Just something to be aware of. It was $20 more than I was expecting to pay. Indoor dining area seemed closed, only outside seating.

Guillermo's is a hidden gem Their fettuccine Alfredo with chicken is fantastic. I recently attended a meeting here with about 25 people and the service was impeccable. They bend over backwards to make sure you have everything you want and need Ben

First, thank you to Guillermo's for accommodating my large party of 12! My mom and I hosted an event here for Trinity University earlier this month and the restaurant management and staff were so easy to coordinate with. I filled out the reservation form on their website and that same day a manager called me to confirm the reservation and ask if I had any questions. When we arrived, our table was already ready, which was great! Our waitress did a phenomenal job taking care of every person. The majority of our group ordered the lunch specials. Great, big portions means you can take some home for later! I will say I miss the Pepperoni Ranch Salad - I didn't see it on the menu. Hope it makes a comeback sometime!

Noticed this place on the way to a holiday market at the Tobin. Commented on the name due to the similarity with one of my husband's favorite directors. Ended up there for lunch. Zero regrets! Huge portions of satisfying, hearty, flavorful, fabulous food. We had so many leftovers! We had no idea the amount of food we were getting ourselves into... Great place for a date or family/group dinner. The only negative is that the bathroom needs more attention.

This place has great pizza!!! I came by to try the pizza, as it came highly recommended. I ordered a cheese pizza with mushrooms, chicken, beef fajita, and spinach, and it was delicious. The pizza tasted fresh, and it was huge! The service was also great, and food didn't take long to come out. The restaurant looks unsuspecting from the outside, but it's a great spot. It was filled when I came in, and although it is on the older side, the ambiance is very lively. There is no parking since it is located downtown, but it looks like you might be able to find street parking nearby. Prices are very fair for portions and not bad at all. 10/10 would recommend. I love this spot for a good pizza night!
